Short trip to Jylland - Surfaddicts "YouT" Video tour.

Just a short little video from my trip to the Northern part of Jylland, where I shoot "the usual suspects" - nothing big, nothing wild, just a little "soul trip" !!! :O)

"Big Wednesday" Vol. 7 - "Power Pete"

Peter Wintex had a slow day last Wednesday, where he swam a lot - good exercise though - but you could hear him "Rohaaar!!!" like an old bear out there on the break, every time his missed a maneuver - keep it up Pete, don't forget "the SOUL part"!! :O)
But even though Pete had a relative "slow day", he still sailed better than most of the crowd. Normally Pete is a really interesting guy to follow because of his very aggressive approach. That is what makes it for me, windsurfers like Pete who give me something "in the box" - if that isn't happening, this blog wouldn't exist at all.
I have been asked a couple of times why I don't shoot pic's of the regular crowd - but I will kindly let others do that. Here on my blog I'm only focusing on showing some action, focusing on showing some of the guy's who's really stand out, who are 100% tuned in to the elements.

Pete is one of these guy's - event hough his swimming skills also are worth talking about!! :O)

"Rip"

... & "Snap"!!!

"Ripping it" again

....and "Snapping it"!!!

Why not just enjoy it!!! - Saltwater Buddha :O)

I'm must be getting very old, because for me it doesn't matter if you are a surfer, kitesurfer og or windsurfer (A "Duck, a Ballon queer or a Pole dancer"!!! :O)

Isn't it just the motion of the ocean that counts? , don't we all have the same thing in common? wind, waves and pure fun!!!?? - that one really cool thing which is the joy of being out there with your friends, using the elements to the max.

I just had a friendly dissuasion with one of the well known windsurfing profiles in Denmark, let me say he is a guy I really like - but when it comes to the understanding of who has the right to be out there when it happens at a "heavy wave spot", we are of a different opinion. He get really pissed when a newbie is fumbling around in front of him out there, which I understand to a certain level, but back in time he was a newbie himself not to forget!!. Somehow everybody have the right to be out there, even though not everybody are superb surfers.
Beginners should of course respect the oceans power and be a bit humble, so they and others don't get hurt out there - but I believe most sane newbies understand that, otherwise they are asking for trouble - one way or an other.

Hell, he even told me that "real surfers" fight while they are sitting one their boards - to me that is sad, and a totally misunderstood approach to this fantastic sport - and I bet you if some of these guy's suddenly couldn't surf anymore, they would probably get a whole new perspective of things - Isn't it all about having some fun??, to enjoy some really great time out there!! - Isn't it all about Ripping and Snapping it to the max??. From my perspective that's the core of it all, and if that is a wrong approach - well then it must be because I'm just an old hippie dreaming of a zen angle to these great water sports, where everybody's having some fun with each other and the elements of Mother Earth.

Here is a small video I found on `YouT´ which shows a Zen angle to it all :O)

Hang "really loose" out there!!!!

"Young surf blood" in Vorupør.

When I spend some time in Vorupør, I saw some young kids surfing, 5 o'clock in the morning - then I meet the farther of one of these two young guy's later that day, we talked for a moment, and then I forgot everything about this meeting. Then suddenly he wrote me a mail, asking if I had some pic's of his son - funny how small the world have become with the internet. And of course I have a few pic's, of this very talented young son - so here they are "Paps" - you have every reason to be proud of your son :O)

"Big Wednesday" Vol.6 - Real Surfing

Well now it's time to go back to the basics - back to the real thing, which started it all back in time - Real SURFING.
After shooting all the windsurfers in Smidstrup, I meet up with Henrik from Dark Blue Boardshop "on the other side" (Sweden). He showed me a fantastic surfs spot I really liked, a beautiful place I never would have found if he hadn't kindly showed it to me - Thanks Henrik!! I Loved it, all the action were right in front of me, only a few meters away. A dream for a guy with a camera. Here is a pure SURF session from Sweden - fantastic coast line they have over there.

Hang Loooooooose!!!!

I was really stoked over this surf session in Sweden, these guy's had a fantastic time out there.

This guy sad down an meditated for a while after a day with perfect swells - absolutely Zen surfing - isn't that's what life's all about?? - Forget heavy work hours, lot's of money, materialism and a stressed up life.

"LESS is MORE!!"

Henrik and Oliver dipping their boards.

Oliver Hartkopp is a young and very talented surfer - one to watch out for in the future.
Oliver were ripping and snapping it perfect all day - pleasure to "shoot you" Oliver :O)

Here's some pic's of Henrik from Dark Blue Boardshop - also a superb surfer, experienced and good solid style all day - we have to make some more trips together Henrik, along the Swedish coast.
